-Giovanni Versace was an Italian designer,who lived in Miami and was born on December 2nd, 1946.

- He was one of three children who grew up in their mothers' dress shop. Fashion was a family business for him.

-After he moved to Milan and worked for several fashion houses, Versace opened his boutique in 1979. Gianni was known for dressing everyone from the opera to the movie stars and royalty.

-Gianni was killed in front of his mansion when a man called Andrew Cunanan shot him twice in the back of his head. Investigations still don't know why he killed Gianni Versace.

-Andrew Cunanan was a serial killer and he also killed four people before he killed Versace. This 27-year-old was on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list, suspected in the killings of four other people.


-Cunanan was a highly intelligent and dangerous man who desired a life of luxury. He could speak two languages, dropped out of college, and founded his lifestyle thanks to relationships with older, wealthier gay men, and he was also a prostitute.

-When Gianni was killed the whole nation was shocked. His sister, Donatella Versace, had to take over his company, and like Donatella his boyfriend, Antonio D'Amico was devastated.

He had an IQ of 147 and was known as a prolific liar.
